Papers for Mon 17 Nov, 2008: Provenance

Amalia has been kind enough to supply THREE papers on provenance studies for us to mull over; one of these is a classic work by Ingersoll, relating petrofacies in the Great Valley sequence to tectonic evolution of the Mesozoic western margin of the US, while the other two are more recent geochemical approaches to the subtle art of provenance analyses. And don't worry, the newer ones are fairly short, so READ THEM ALL.

In addition to supplying the papers, Amalia (and Lauren) have also been kind enough to offer their domicile to us for the evening's discussion and revelry. Their address is in the email sent out.

As always, it's potluck, so bring food and beer to share with one another.

And everyone keep your eyes out for slick papers, odd papers, fun papers, completely-rad-to-the-max papers, and everything in between, for future discussions!

Now, on to the Papers; should you have ANY PROBLEMS nabbing these off of the site, email me, and I'll send you the pdfs:

Papers for Wednesday, October 29, 2008: Paleo, bitches!

See! Equal-opportunity! We've got a paleo thing goin' on right now! Of course, this is paleo with a difference: sequence stratigraphic concepts inform these works!

The meeting will be held at the Home of Eric Williams, once again, and is slated for 7:00 PM on Wednesday October 29th. It'll be potluck again, so bring food! And Beer!

Anyway, the papers up for discussion are below; you can download em using the little "iPaper" tab on the top-left. HOWEVER, it has been pointed out to me that you WILL have to get a Scribd account to download them. Hope that's not to much of a pain for everyone!
